About This Event

Akwa Ibom, your son is coming home, and he is not coming alone.

Okon and Friends Live: Workers' Day Happy Hour Edition brings Okon Lagos back to Uyo on Friday, May 1st for the comedy event Akwa Ibom has been waiting for. After a year of sold out shows across Nigeria, Okon returns with a lineup so deep it reads like a roll call of Nigerian comedy royalty. Headlining alongside him: AY, the man who built a comedy empire from a microphone. Klint Da Drunk, the elder statesman of Nigerian stand up. African China, bringing the music. And fifteen more of the sharpest names in the business.

This is not a regular comedy night. This is Workers' Day weekend, the year's biggest break for the working class, and Stonebridge Entertainment has built an event worthy of the occasion. With the proud backing of the Akwa Ibom State Government and a roster of premium sponsors, Flairmore Events Center will host the largest comedy gathering Uyo has ever seen.

The Headliners

Okon Lagos returns home with a brand new set tailored for Akwa Ibom's audience. Expect the trademark Calabar humour, the political commentary, and the family stories that have made him one of the most quoted comedians in Nigeria.

AY, host of the AY Live franchise that has run for over fifteen years, brings the stage presence and the polish that only a veteran of his calibre delivers.

Klint Da Drunk brings the iconic drunken uncle character that defined a generation of Nigerian comedy.

African China turns up the energy with a live music interlude that will have the room on its feet.

Featured Lineup: Eighteen comedians, MCs, and performers gracing one stage:

AY, Klint Da Drunk, African China, Mista Xto, Romeo, Ikpa Udo, Lybra, MC Holly, Jesta, Odogwu, Monkals, Disasta, ATM, DJ Ritzy, Kpai Kpai Master, Mimicko, Sagas, and Laff Nation.

Dress Code: Smart elegant. Cameras and red carpet press will be in full attendance.

Age: Strictly 16 and above. Under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Good to Know Doors open from 4:30 pm. Arrive early if you want red carpet photos with the comedians. Tickets are non refundable but fully transferable until April 30 at 6pm. Flairmore Events Center has on site parking, and the venue is centrally located with easy access from Ewet, Itam, Aka, and Ikot Ekpene Road. Food and drinks will be available throughout the night. Sponsor activations and giveaways begin at 5pm during the red carpet segment.
